Message from the Director
Welcome, and thank you for your interest in the University of Minnesota Epilepsy Fellowship Program. Our mission is to provide a comprehensive, individualized training experience that prepares fellows to become outstanding clinical epileptologists and leaders in the field—whether in academic medicine, private practice, or industry.
Rooted in the legacy of MINCEP Epilepsy Care, one of the nation’s first comprehensive epilepsy centers, our program offers a unique opportunity to train at the forefront of epilepsy care, research, and innovation. Fellows benefit from a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment and can tailor their training with advanced exposure to stereo-EEG, neuromodulation, ultra-high field imaging, and precision pharmacotherapy. We also offer integrated opportunities in epilepsy genetics, sleep medicine, and women’s health, reflecting our commitment to patient-centered and personalized care.
Our faculty are dedicated educators, mentors, and nationally recognized investigators who are committed to your growth. In collaboration with the College of Pharmacy, Institute for Engineering in Medicine, and clinical research teams, our fellows are actively engaged in innovative work—including novel brain stimulation therapies and incorporating wearables in clinical practice.
